Descripción del Tour:

This tour commences with a pick-up from the hotels in the city starting at 09:00 hs. We will head north to explore the Jesuit Estancias of Colonia Caroya, Jesús María, and Santa Catalina. These sites are significant as they have been designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, having been an integral part of the historic Camino Real towards Upper Peru.
Colonia Caroya is a place where regional flavors, wineries, and religious circuits converge. It is perfect for experiencing nature, savoring local cuisine, and relaxing. Our visit here will focus on its historical and religious significance.
The tour's first stop will be at the Tourist Interpretation and Jesuit Legacy Center in Colonia Caroya. We will spend approximately 15-20 minutes here to gain insight into the territorial and historical development of the Society of Jesus in this area.
Next, we will visit the Estancia de Colonia Caroya, the first rural establishment established by the Society of Jesus in 1616. We will spend about an hour here. We will explore the museum where the exhibits highlight the Jesuit Legacy, its operations as the "First White Weapons Factory," and the significant Italian influence.
After exploring this location, we will proceed to Jesús María, a region rich in heritage, culture, and history, known as one of the most significant cities in the province.
During our scenic tour, we will pass by the grounds where the Argentine Dressage and Folklore Festival occurs in January. Our journey will lead us to the Jesuit Jesús María Estancia, established in 1618. Over approximately an hour and a half, we will explore the museum and its rooms featuring sacred Cusco art, archaeology, and ceramics, among other exhibits.
Around noon, either in Jesús María or Colonia Caroya, we will have free time for lunch at a restaurant (lunch not included).
After our lunch break, we will continue our journey to Santa Catalina, a remarkable area known for its exquisite baroque-style churches in the province.
In this town lies the Santa Catalina Jesuit Estate, regarded as the largest architectural complex of the Society outside the city of Córdoba, dating back to 1622. Upon arrival, we will enjoy a guided visit of approximately one hour with a local guide, allowing us to explore the park, the church, and its patios.
Finally, after a 10-hour journey through time, we will return to the city and drop you off at your downtown hotel.
