This tour kicks off with a hotel pick-up starting at 9:00 am, heading north to explore the Jesuit Ranches of Colonia Caroya and Jesús María. These sites hold significant value as they have been recognized as World Heritage by UNESCO for their role along the historic route of the Ancient Royal Road to Upper Peru.
Colonia Caroya offers a blend of regional flavors, wineries, and religious sites, making it perfect for enjoying nature, savoring local cuisine, and relaxing. On this occasion, our visit will focus on its historical and religious aspects.
The tour's initial stop is at the Tourist Interpretation Center and the Jesuit Legacy of Colonia Caroya, where we'll spend about 15 to 20 minutes gaining insights into the territorial and historical development of the Society of Jesus in this region.
Next, we will visit the Colonia Caroya Ranch, the first rural establishment founded by the Society of Jesus in 1616, where we will stay for approximately one hour. Here, the museum visit will provide a deeper understanding of the Jesuit Legacy, its role as the "First White Arms Factory," and the significant Italian influence.
After spending time at this estancia, we'll proceed to Jesús María, a city rich in heritage, culture, and history, ranking among the province's most prominent cities.
